Sir Lord Baltimore - Kingdom Come [1970]

Kingdom Come is one of the albums who gave birth to what is now called heavy metal. The heavyness of this record is amazing. Just pure rock with some heavy guitar sound and also a rough voice. Sir Lord Baltimore had to be on the same rank as Blue Cheer or Black Sabbath. This trio created a rock which at this time couldn't find an decent audience.

It's super-duper hard to find. I found it myself, paid a fortune for it and it's a good album. It's not like we named our record after them as a homage, we just thought it was a good title. The band itself sounds a lot like Uriah Heep or Deep Purple."

Rainbow - Rising [1976]

Rainbow's classic Rising album is looked upon as a hallowed landmark in the world of heavy metal, and it certainly deserves the respect it is given. First Rainbow album to feature the late, great Cozy Powell on drums, and his powerful drumming is almost as dominating as Ronnie Dio's lungs and Richie Blackmore's fretwork.
